With a battery on the shelf, as shown, the source is ready for a full days work with a single operator. The optional radio trigger link makes the system completely independent, no cables needed.

This ESS100 seismic source uses an entirely new mechanical design to create more energy from a simple light weight mechanism. The entire system weighs only about 250 pounds (110kg) but it puts out nearly as much energy as large trailer mounted devices. Two models are available, one mounts in a 2 inch receiver type trailer hitch for use on trucks and all terrain vehicles Model ESS100HM. The other model is mounted on a four wheel cart and can be moved into position and operated by one man in nearly any terrain Model ESS100SC.

The energy in a moving weight is proportional to its' mass and the square of its' velocity. Double the mass and you get double the energy but also twice the weight to lift and transport. If you double the velocity you get four times more energy with no increase in the weight of the mechanism. This new source from GISCO accelerates the weight over twice the distance that is possible with older hydraulically operated systems. The result is high energy in a lighter, compact, all electrically operated device.

This source from GISCO operates on 12 volts DC. There is no gas engine, no hydraulics or hoses, nothing to spill or leak. This source will fire over 1500 times on the energy in a 12 volt 130 A/H deep cycle battery. Mechanical operation is nearly silent until the hammer fires.

All controls and the famous GISCO accelerometer trigger are included. Cycling is completely automatic, touch the fire button and the system fires and readies itself for the next shot automatically. Hold the fire button down and the source fires itself every ten seconds for as long as you hold the button down. The source can operate continuously for hours because it is powered by a strong , sealed, continuous duty industrial motor and transmission.
