GISCO SEISMIC RADIO TRIGGER LINK

Radio link with inexpensive Motorola Talkabout(tm) radios and trigger switch

  • Works with nearly all impulse sources including the GISCO ESS-100 and ESS-200 weight drop systems, and sledge hammers.
  • Works with nearly all voice two-way radios including inexpensive battery powered hand held units.
  • Microprocessor control for fully automatic operation.
  • A single test button tests the whole system including radio communications and connection to the seismograph.
  • Very low power consumption - runs for 200 hours on internal 'C' size flashlight batteries.
  • Small and rugged - sealed cast aluminum case is only 4x6x5 inches (10x15x12 cm). Easily fits in a backpack.
  • Fully automatic operation with the GISCO ESS-100 and ESS-200 sources.
  • With GISCOs' unique sledge hammer trigger switch the transmitter is automatically turned on when the hammer swing begins, the trigger is sent when the hammer strikes, and the radio is then turned off, all automatically. Two seconds later the system is ready for the next hit, all without any operator input.
